Catherine Hamer, Director of Academic Engagement with the UT Libraries at the University of Texas, Austin, has served in administrative roles for 12 years. She holds an MLIS from San Jose State University, an MA from the Elliot School of International Affairs at The George Washington University, and a BA in Social Science from California State University, Sacramento. Catherine joined the UT Libraries in 2004. Prior to moving to Austin, Catherine was the Access Services Librarian at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and held positions at California State University, Monterey Bay and The George Washington University. It is a transformative and exciting time to be working in Academic Libraries and Catherine has been delighted to improve student learning and research through a variety of service innovations and facilities projects and has developed partnerships to impact teaching and research services for graduates and faculty.
